Hi Jonah, glad you found my blog and the article on the card game of war.

The probability of a long victory stream should increase slightly with the number of decks because with 6 decks, for example, after A beats K there are still (up to) 23 aces remaining (as opposed to 3 left in a single deck game).

I tend to be more of a single malt guy, but you can't go wrong with Chivas 12.

I stumbled across your website and find it quite a great blog, one of the most interesting and entertaining i have come across in some time. I read an article you produced on the probability of war, but i have a follow up question. If you increase the deck number in the game of war what are the probabilities of a stream of winning occurring in the game for instance winning A-K 3-2, J-9, Q-5, 10-4, 5-2, 7-3, Q-7, etc..... I would be interested to know because i would think that those it would have a low probability but recently I came across a game of 6 decks and have seen that occur so your thoughts would be interesting to hear..... thank you.... Also i am just a beginning connoisseur of scotch but your suggestions i will have to try out.... lately i have been into the chivas 12.....
