that is self-awareness.
You haven’t met yourself yet.
But the advantage to meeting others in the meantime…
is that one of them may present you to yourself.

Resonates with experiences I’ve had, but less in the last two lines - not sure I’ve ever had someone else present me to myself. At least not as a discrete, identifiable moment or event.
This is to say that my major “spiritual moments,” so to speak, have happened when I was alone, and any sense in which others have presented me to myself has been through the strength of a relationship with the person over time.
People are interesting in the different ways they move forward. For example, there are some individuals who are much more responsive to nature or music than others.
